Walter Trout brings the life back with “Alive In Amsterdam”
Walter Trout the man that has been thru all, is back again with the most powerful album than ever “Alive In Amsterdam”. Blues-rock guitarist Walter Trout had some hard years behind him first his liver failure and then hepatitis C. But after the successful transplant in May 2014, and the big comeback with 2015 album “Battle Scars“, Trout is back and redy to spread his blues passion.
“Alive In Amsterdam” has two discs with 16 tracks, and was released on June 17th 2016, by Provogue Records. In this album you can find songs from every era of Trout’s five-decade career, including his B.B. King tribute “Say Goodbye To The Blues,” a scorching cover of his idol Luther Allison’s “I’m Back” as well as Trout originals like “Almost Gone” and “Tomorrow Seems So Far Away.” He returns to his early career penchant for harmony drenched ballads on the plaintive “Please Take Me Home“. “Haunted By The Night” also has deep lyrics that will definitely touch your heart.
Walter Trout really understands the meaning of life, his path had many obstacles but he found a way to overcome them. “Alive In Amsterdam” is the living proof for his courageous fight.
